Mobile App Privacy Addendum
Nirmalam: Mood & Wellbeing
Effective date: 15 August 2026
Privacy summary: The App has no account, cloud sync, advertising or external analytics. Your wellbeing records remain on your device unless you explicitly export or share something. Core features work without Internet access.
1. Scope and relationship to the general policy
This addendum supplements the general Nirmalam Group Privacy Policy and applies specifically to the Android application Nirmalam: Mood & Wellbeing (the "App"). If this addendum conflicts with a general statement in the Nirmalam Group Privacy Policy, this addendum controls for the App.
The App is provided by Nirmalam Group. Contact us at support@nirmalamgroup.in or visit www.nirmalamgroup.in.
2. Purpose and important disclaimer
The App is an offline self-reflection and general wellbeing tool. It is not a medical device, diagnostic service, treatment, risk assessment, crisis service or substitute for qualified professional care. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent stress, anxiety, depression or any other medical or mental-health condition.
3. Information you may choose to store
You may choose to save mood ratings, physical symptoms, water intake, time since a meal, interaction and life context, private notes, goals, reflections, support-plan text and wellbeing preferences. This information is stored in private application storage on your device. Saved check-ins and related records use an encrypted local SQLCipher database.
The current App does not request Android location permission or capture your location.
4. Optional device features
Feature What happens What may be retained
Camera reflection Only after you choose it, front-camera frames and temporary face-mesh geometry are processed in memory for approximately three seconds. No photo, video, face identifier or facial landmarks are saved. If you save the check-in, a brief non-clinical text observation may be stored.
Voice note Only after you choose it, Android's on-device speech recognizer is used when available. The App does not fall back to cloud speech recognition. Raw audio is not recorded or saved by the App. Recognized text becomes part of your note only if you save the check-in.
Device context When you save a check-in, available light and motion sensors may be sampled briefly. Only a brief plain-language observation may be stored. Raw and numerical light or motion readings are discarded immediately after processing.
Notifications After you enable a reminder, Android schedules a local notification. Reminder settings remain on your device.
App lock Android's biometric or device-credential interface confirms whether to unlock the App. The App does not receive or store your biometric template, PIN, pattern or password.
5. What Nirmalam Group collects or shares
Nirmalam Group does not receive, collect, sell, rent or share your in-app wellbeing records. The App does not request Internet permission and contains no developer-operated cloud sync, advertising SDK or external analytics SDK.
6. Exports, sharing and external applications
You can create CSV or PDF exports and choose their destination through Android. You can also initiate Android share-sheet, website, email or WhatsApp actions. These actions occur only after you choose them. Once information is provided to another app, person or storage provider, that recipient's privacy practices apply. Factory reset cannot delete files you previously exported outside the App.
7. Retention and deletion
Information remains in the App until you remove it through an available app control, uninstall the App, clear its storage or use Settings & privacy > Erase all Nirmalam data. Factory reset removes app-held check-ins, goals, reflections, support-plan information, preferences, local reminders and the app-lock preference. It does not delete files already exported elsewhere.
8. Security
Saved wellbeing records are protected by an encrypted local database, Android application sandboxing and device storage security. You may optionally enable app lock when your device has a credential or supported biometric. No security method can guarantee protection on a rooted, compromised or physically insecure device. Keep Android updated and protect your device credential.
9. Permissions and your choices
Camera, Microphone and Notifications are optional. You may decline them and still record an ordinary mood check-in. You can revoke permissions through Android Settings. App lock is also optional.
10. Children
The initial Google Play release is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. App records are not transmitted to Nirmalam Group.
11. International use and urgent support
The App provides general wellbeing tools, not country-specific medical advice. If you feel in immediate danger or may harm yourself or another person, contact local emergency services or a trusted person immediately.
12. Changes to this addendum
We may update this addendum when App features, permissions, legal requirements or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes should also be reflected in the App and Google Play Data Safety information.
13. Contact
For privacy questions about the App, email support@nirmalamgroup.in.
Nirmalam Divya Prabandham — App-Specific Privacy Addendum
This section supplements the general Nirmalam Group Privacy Policy and applies specifically to the Nirmalam Divya Prabandham application.
Offline devotional content
The application provides pasurams, Prabandam information, Azhwaar information, Divyadesam information, calendars and related devotional content for offline use. This content is stored within the application and does not require an internet connection.
Information stored on the device
The application may store the following locally on the user’s device:
Bookmarks and Puta-cihnam entries
Sañcayaḥ recital collections
Sevithen recital progress
Divya Deśa Yātrā visit dates and private notes
Personal devotional calendar entries
Reading preferences, language, font size and colour settings
Optional Nirmalam AI provider settings and API key
Optional application lock settings
This information is intended for the user’s personal use and is not automatically uploaded to Nirmalam Group.
Location access
Location access is optional. If the user enables Travel mode or nearby Divyadesam features, the application may use the device location to identify nearby Divyadesams or provide temple-recitation reminders.
Location is used only for these on-device devotional features. It is not required for ordinary Pārāyaṇa, bookmarking, Sañcayaḥ or Yātrā tracking. Users can disable Travel mode and location permissions at any time.
Geofence reminders depend on the device, Android permissions, Google Play services, battery settings and network conditions. They are reminders only and are not guaranteed.
Nirmalam AI
Nirmalam AI is optional and available only when the user configures their own supported provider key.
When used, the selected devotional context and the user’s selected request may be sent to the chosen AI service provider. The provider’s own privacy policy, terms and charges apply. Nirmalam Group does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or authority of AI-generated guidance. AI responses are intended for devotional exploration and travel planning, not as definitive religious, legal, medical or financial advice.
Users should not enter confidential, sensitive or unrelated personal information into AI requests.
Sharing
Sharing is initiated only when the user taps a sharing option. The user may share:
Pasuram cards
Bookmarks
Sañcayaḥ collections
Yātrā reports
Calendar entries
Nirmalam AI responses as formatted images
Sharing is handled through Android’s sharing system or a nearby-device service selected by the user. The receiving application or service may process the shared content according to its own privacy policy.
Permissions
The application requests permissions only for optional features that require them, such as notifications, location, camera or microphone-related functionality where applicable. Users may deny or later revoke these permissions. The core offline Pārāyaṇa experience remains available without optional permissions.
Deletion and reset
Users can remove individual bookmarks, Sañcayaḥ entries, visits, calendar entries and private notes from within the application. The Settings section may also provide a reset option to remove locally stored application data.
Uninstalling the application generally removes its locally stored data according to Android’s device and backup settings.

Nirmalam Daily Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 15, 2026
Nirmalam Daily is designed as a private, offline-first Yoga–Ayurveda lifestyle companion. This privacy policy explains what information the app handles, how it is stored, and how it is used.
1. Our privacy approach
Nirmalam Daily is built to keep user data local to the device by default.
We do not:
require account registration
ask users to sign in
sell personal data
share personal data with advertisers
use cloud sync by default
build advertising profiles
perform symptom-based diagnosis or medical analysis
The app is intended for personal practice tracking, reflection, reminders, and routine support.
2. Information the app stores
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
onboarding choices such as wake time, sleep time, pattern, goal, and preferred mode
selected practices, favorites, and personal practice plans
practice completion records
journey progress
journal entries and weekly reflections
circadian or rhythm check marks
reminder settings
accessibility preferences
app lock preference
export/report settings
optional resume state for the last opened practice
This information is stored on the device and is used only to provide the app’s features.
3. How the information is used
The app uses your local information to:
show your Today screen
personalize practice suggestions and ordering
track your own practice history
display weekly and monthly progress views
generate local CSV and PDF reports when you request them
save your setup and accessibility preferences
support reminders and alarm actions you choose
help you resume a practice you opened earlier
4. Data storage
By default, app data is stored locally on the device.
Depending on device and Android version, some data may be stored using Android app storage mechanisms such as SharedPreferences, Room, or other local persistence methods used by the app.
The app is designed to be offline-first. Most features work without internet access.
5. Data sharing
Nirmalam Daily does not automatically share your personal records with anyone.
Sharing happens only when you explicitly choose to:
export a CSV report
create a PDF report
share an image card through another app such as WhatsApp, email, or messaging apps
When you choose to share, the app passes the selected content to the destination app you choose.
6. Internet use
The app is generally designed to work offline.
Internet may be used only when you intentionally open an external link, such as:
the Nirmalam Group website
a YouTube learning link
WhatsApp contact
email contact
device-provided web or app destinations you choose manually
When you open external services, their own privacy policies apply.
7. Permissions
The app may request some optional permissions depending on features you use.
These can include:
Notifications — for gentle reminders you set
Device credential / app lock support — to use your device’s own PIN, pattern, password, or biometric lock
Alarm or clock-related actions — if you choose to open the Android alarm app
Other device permissions only if a future feature clearly needs them
The app does not require camera or microphone access for normal use.
If a permission is requested, it should be clearly explained inside the app before the system prompt appears.
8. Reports and exports
If you export data, the exported file is generated from your local records.
Exports may include:
completion records
selected time period
practice names
dates and times
progress summaries
You control when and where those exports are shared or saved.
9. Data deletion and reset
You can reset local data from inside the app.
Resetting may remove:
completion records
practice plans
favorites
reminder settings
journal entries
reflection data
circadian check-ins
journey progress
other locally stored user-generated data
This action is intended to be irreversible unless you have already exported a copy.
10. Children and family use
Nirmalam Daily may be used by adults, students, older adults, and family members under adult supervision.
The app is not designed to collect personal data from children for advertising, profiling, or external analytics.
Parents, guardians, or caregivers should review and manage device settings for younger users.
11. Analytics and third-party tracking
Nirmalam Daily does not use advertising trackers or third-party behavioral profiling as part of the core app design.
If a future version adds optional analytics or crash reporting, that change should be clearly disclosed in the app and in an updated privacy policy.
12. Third-party services
If you choose to open:
website links
YouTube
Android Clock or other device apps
those services are provided by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies.
Nirmalam Daily is not responsible for how those services handle your information.
13. Security
We use reasonable precautions to keep your data private on the device, but no system is perfectly secure.
Important note:
device-level security helps protect your data
app lock can add another layer of convenience
rooted, compromised, or shared devices may expose local app data
For that reason, we recommend using a secure device lock and keeping sensitive information limited to what you are comfortable storing locally.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect app changes, new features, or legal requirements.
If we make important changes, we should update the effective date and make the revised policy available in the app and/or on the website.
15. Contact
